Happy Tuesday, Quillers and Thrillers!
If you are new to Quills and Thrills this week, you need to turn in your Ten Commandments of Digital Citizenship pledge and signed permission form before you can publish anything online on behalf of the club.
Don’t have the Ten Commandments of Digital Citizenship permission form signed yet? No worries, you can still create the tools needed to build your only presence and set them aside until you get the permission form signed.
Do your parents prefer that you refrain from publishing your writing online? No problem! You can still participate in the writing prompts and keep a journal!
Figurative Language Throw Down Challenge
Your challenge for this week is below. Be sure to tweet your response using #QuillsandThrillsFLTD. Like or retweet your favorite submission(s) to vote! But remember, it is tacky to like your own posts on social media, so do not vote for yourself. Is this your first challenge? Read the rules before you submit your response!

Figurative Language Throw Down Submissions
New Experience: Society Essentials Challenge
Try to think of one essential aspect of society that would lead to the end of the world as we know if this aspect were to disappear. Then, present your aspect, along with the consequences of the loss of that aspect, to the rest of the group. The rest of the group will try to disprove your theory that the loss the this aspect would lead to the end of the world. The last man standing wins the game!
The Prompt: No Prompt!
Last week, we started working on a collaborative story concept about a dystopian society that requires society members to police themselves. Rather than introduce a new prompt, we will continue to work on this story concept for the rest of the year.
That’s All, Folks!
Struggling to find ideas? Having trouble finding the words to express your ideas? You’re not alone! Check out Writer’s Block Therapy for cathartic memes and tweets!
If you publish your own response to this prompt somewhere on the interwebs, please share it with me by linking to it in the comments below! Just make sure to check out the Ten Commandments of Digital Citizenship before creating your own blog or YouTube channel. Safety comes first!
Tune in next week for a new writing prompt!
