Essential Question: What is the relationship between corruption and deception?

Monday, 3/27: PARCC Prep Monday

Today we will discuss the best strategies for you to employ when taking the ELA PARCC assessment beginning on April 10, 2017. To do this, you will need to have two tabs open on your iPads: The Ten Steps to Rocking the PARCC, and the PARCC Practice Test. Last week we talked about how to rock the essay portion of the PARCC assessment. Today we’ll take a closer look at the other questions on the PARCC assessment.

Tuesday and Wednesday, 3/28-3/29: Animal Farm Essay – Writer’s Workshop

We will continue working on the essay you started last week with a specific focus on the introduction paragraph, thesis statements, and embedding evidence into your paragraphs. If you still need to copy the essay outline into your Google Docs account,  you can find that here.

Essay Requirements: Your essay must have an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You must include evidence from Animal Farm AND evidence from your research on a current issue/event in modern society to support your claims. You will turn in a works cited page with your essay, so make sure you keep track of EVERY SOURCE you use while researching by copy and pasting the link to the article/resource in to the appropriate section of your outline on Google Docs.

The completed essay is due on Thursday & Friday, March 30-31.
